OLYMPICEU
A project approved and co-funded by the European Union under the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme (CERV).
The Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme is the largest EU funding initiative dedicated to promoting and protecting European values.
It supports projects that foster democracy, inclusion, equality and civic participation across Member States.
CERV helps public bodies, organisations and citizens build open, democratic and rights-based societies, rooted in Europe’s common history and shared values.

OLYMPICEU was selected under the CERV Programme for its capacity to connect communities, promote equality, and foster civic engagement across borders.
The project builds bridges between citizens and local authorities, ensuring that inclusion and participation remain at the heart of Europe’s democratic life.

OLYMPICEU directly responds to the priorities of the CERV Programme by promoting democratic participation, inclusion, equality and cooperation between citizens and institutions across Europe.

OLYMPICEU creates opportunities for citizens to take part in local democratic life.
Through workshops, public forums and digital platforms, people can express their views, participate in decision-making and shape their communities from the bottom up.
🔹 Enhancing Social Inclusion
The project ensures that marginalized groups — women, youth, seniors, minorities and persons with disabilities — are not left behind.
It builds bridges between different communities, promoting equal access and participation for all.
🔹 Advancing Gender Equality and Combating Discrimination
OLYMPICEU promotes equal representation and empowers women to take leadership roles in local decision-making.
It also fights discrimination in all its forms, fostering fairer and more inclusive societies.

By encouraging dialogue and cooperation between citizens and local authorities, the project strengthens mutual trust and reinforces democratic institutions.

OLYMPICEU connects municipalities, local authorities and civil society organizations from Italy and Greece, creating long-term partnerships that can inspire new collaborations across Europe.
